This project involved designing a Blu-ray box set for Hillsdale College’s online course Understanding Capitalism. The visual concept drew inspiration from the innovation and industrial momentum of the early 20th century, referencing the energy of the 1920s while incorporating visual cues of scientific and technological advancement.
Imagery such as a rocket motif and microchip-inspired decorative elements were integrated to symbolize progress, ingenuity, and forward-thinking enterprise—core themes of the course. The exterior design balances bold, industrial-era influence with a refined academic tone, while the interior sleeve extends the conceptual framework through subtle technological detailing.
The goal was to create a visually compelling, cohesive package that reflected the dynamism of capitalism’s history and its continuing influence on modern innovation.
